James L. Carney
James L. Carney is an honor graduate of Spring Hill College, a Jesuit college in Mobile, Alabama. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and a former law school professor and assistant dean. He was invited to present his award-winning essay on “Just War Traditions in the Nuclear Age” to the U.S. Army Chaplains School.
Mr. Carney was an eyewitness/parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Lake Ridge, Virginia at the time of the unexplained phenomena. He documented the events in his journal-style account, THE SETON MIRACLES, Weeping Statues and Other Wonders.
Mr. Carney assigned all rights, title and interest in this work to the Marian Foundation. This assignment was made to eliminate any financial incentive of the author in the reporting of the events described in the book so that their credibility might be evaluated solely on the basis of the number and character of the witnesses and the circumstances and accompanying photographs included.
Mr. Carney presently resides in Madison, Wisconsin.
He is also the author of Mystery Stories: A Journey Through the Rosary (2000). In the words of Mr. Carney, "Outside Church sacraments and especially the Eucharist, the rosary is one of the most powerful and effective prayers for Christians. It is the means by which we grow our relationship with Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the Apostles. Through meditation on the mysteries, we experience their humanity and see their character and extraordinary love. It is no exaggeration to say that the rosary is a lifeline to the Kingdom of God. Mystery Stories: A Journey Through the Rosary bases its reflections on Scripture where possible and supplements with fictional descriptions intended to help you develop your own sense of the personalities of the founders of our faith. This book does not contain the Luminous Mysteries because it was published in 2000, two years before the Luminous Mysteries were promulgated by the Vatican. where her heart will always be. It is overlaid with a tear, representing her particular manifestation at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, and lies beneath the figure of a dove, the traditional symbol of the Holy Spirit, raising a wing of flame for the Divine Love which encompasses all.
